Temporary Full-Time Position (Admin IV) Starting April 2022
  • Hourly wage starting at $24.1632 – $29.8731 depending upon experience and education
  • 36.25-hour work week (Monday through Friday 8:15 am to 4:30 pm)
Summary & Workplace
  • We are seeking a professional, easy-going, reliable, and punctual person to fill an administrative role on our team.
  • Working closely with the Director of Property Administration, the ideal candidate will be highly responsible, experienced in supporting senior management, posses a strong sense of urgency and technical aptitude.
  • This position will be responsible for processing applications for various public land applications, the preparation of transfer of Title packages as well as gathering data and preliminary drafting of public lands policies. It will include drafting background information and briefing notes for Board meetings as well as to the Minister of Municipal Affairs.
Key Duties & Description Key Duties: 

  • Prepare documents such as: Land Titles documents; caveats; easements for tower sites
  • Management and preparation of documents for Exchange of Lands files and Lease Conversions files; register land titles documents
  • Research and compilation for information for presentations, meetings, projects, etc. for Director Property Administration
  • Answer stakeholder and ratepayer phone enquires
  • Management of land files and documents such as general files, tax notifications, policies, and record changes in the Asset Management Software (SAMS)
  • Management and assistance with Special Areas planning documents, such as Land Use Order, subdivisions, development documents
Requirements
  • Grade 12 Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in business administration is considered an asset
  • 2+ years of Administration experience preferred
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of SharePoint and One Drive
  • First rate communication skills: written and verbal skills, strong public relation skills, organization abilities and proven attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and initiative
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet tight deadlines
Important Considerations 
  • Experience with SPIN2 and CORES is an asset, as well as familiar with Land Titles Procedures
  • Upon commencement, the successful candidate will provide a Criminal Records Check
